Legacies (Shadow Grail, Book 1) by Meredes Lackey and Rosemary Edghill

Kind of a cross between Harry Potter and X-men with a little bit darker feel. Legacies is another story of wizards at a special boarding school. It deals with a lot of fantasy stereotypes, but the story is still entertaining for teen readers. Also, it is a clean read without a lot of violence and that is rare these days.
