American Royals by Katharine McGee

Imagine America if after the Revolution War they had crowned George Washington as King. Now it is modern day and the Washingtons still rule, but times have changed. American Royals follows Princess Beatrice, Princess Samantha, and Prince Jefferson as they try to navigate life as royalty with all its privileges and also restrictions.

McGee’s characterization is well done and she paints an interesting picture of life as modern royalty. It is a fun reimagining of American life under royalty. My only complaint is the cruel cliffhanger ending. Read for a light and clean romantic story, but if you hate life without resolution, have the next book in the series ready for when you finish this one.
