I
Iolanthe Seaborne’s quiet life is turned upside down when she calls a bolt of lightning from the sky. Suddenly, she is hunted by the agents of Atlantis and must go into hiding posing as a boy at Eton. Prince Titus says Iolanthe is his only hope for saving the kingdom and together they must defeat the Bane, the most dangerous mage ever known. Following his dead mother’s prophesies, Titus knows he must keep Iolanthe safe, but that he will probably die trying.
The Burning Sky has a little bit for all readers–action, mystery, magic, and a little romance. It will appeal to Harry Potter fans, but has a style all its own. There’s nothing deep about it, but the characters are entertaining and the audiobook reader is excellent. A fun diversion for a variety of readers.
